This role is responsible for developing and coordinating the production of high-quality graphic design deliverables in the form of posters, reports, creatives, print and online materials. The role works collaboratively with the Creatives Manager and Marketing team to deliver designs for key campaigns and deliverables. This role will work to continuously elevate the standard of Islamic Relief Canada’s brand by conceptualizing and creating industry-standard branding guides, illustrations and designs for all campaigns and marketing deliverables throughout the year. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create promotional materials for all main campaigns, to fulfill the design needs of multiple online platforms and printed materials
  • Develop and design stewardship reports, fundraising material, and event marketing materials
  • Work collaboratively within the Creative and Marketing team and across the organization to determine the nature and content of design needed, as well as printing needs and orders
  • Work collaboratively to produce high-quality bilingual designs
  • Work collaboratively with a roster of freelance designers, liaising between designers and internal stakeholders for overflow work
  • Maintain timely and consistent communication with other departments and the Marketing team to ensure deadlines and quality standards are being met
  • Work towards implementing creative and innovative designs that elevate the brand of Islamic Relief with Canadian Muslims
  • Work on special design projects as assigned 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Completion of a college diploma/university degree in Graphic Design preferred
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Must have an eye for clean design
  • Excellent proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Knowledge of print vs. digital specs for materials is an asset
  • Should exhibit critical thinking skills, initiative, and be self-directed
  • Creative and energetic with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience delivering high quality results
  • Ability to maintain high level of attention to detail and consistency in style and brand
  • Motivated self-starter who is able to take both guidance and initiative
  • Works well in a team with a collaborative lens
  • Portfolio must be submitted with resume
  • Eligible to work in Canada
